What is a Home Inspection?

Our general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property. It is performed by our licensed inspector for a fee, and is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by the state of Florida's Standards of Practice that are both observed and deemed material by our inspector. The scope of work may be modified by the Client and our Inspector prior to the inspection process.

The Florida Standard's of Practice can be read by clicking HERE.

Insurance Inspections

  • Wind Mitigation Inspections are a valuable inspection service that may help you lower your insurance premiums. Insurance discounts are available for building features that reduce damage during high wind events such as tropical storms and hurricanes. Such features include improved roof shingles, strong roof decks, hurricane clips/straps, impact resistant glazing or shutter protection for windows, roof shape and other construction techniques.
  • 4 Point Inspections are specific inspections. When you purchase a new home or renew an existing policy , a 4 point inspection may be required to receive insurance on the property. Our 4 Point includes Roof, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical.

New Construction

Building a new home is a very complex endeavor. There are usually several sub-contractor groups, each working on different parts and systems of the house. Even with the best builders, its nearly impossible to complete this process without missing something. Maybe it's a plumbing fixture that didn't get tested for leaks, maybe it's an electrical outlet that isn't working, or any one of dozens of minor problems that can easily be overlooked in such a major undertaking. We inspect for such problems while it is still early enough for you to have them corrected before you sign-off and start moving in.
